Questions and Answers:
Question: What size are the letters?
Answer: The standard letters are 60cm tall, the width varies for each depending on the letter. To give you an idea, the letter O measures 60cm x 40cm.
Question: How are the light up signs powered?
Answer: All of our light up signs are powered by AA batteries, each letter has it's own battery pack on the back of the letter. This means that the signs can be placed anywhere and you do not need to be near a plug socket, it also means there are no wires running between the individual letters so you can place them as close together or as far apart as you like. Each letter requires 3AA batteries (not included).
Note: For larger letters (Such as 'M' and 'W') we use 2 sets of lights per letter, therfore these letters have 2 battery packs. We do this becuase we found that when using longer lights they were not as bright. So we use 2 sets to ensure that all letters glow to the same leve of brightness,
Question: How long does delivery take?
Answer: Each sign is made to order, we try to ensure all signs are dispatched within 3 weeks. We use Hermes courier, once dispatched the courier usually takes 3-4 days to deliver.
Question: Are the letters free standing?
Answer: No, the letters are not free standing.
We find that most people either attach the letters to walls, stand them against something or even hang them.
Question: What are the letters made from?
Answer: The letters are made from 4mm Correx fluted plastic. This is basically a very lightweight plastic (they are not cardboard!). The advantage of this material is that it makes the signs easy to handle and position. It is the same material that most estate agent 'for sale' signs are made from.
Question: Where do you ship to?
Answer: We ship to the U.K only, as much as we would like to be able to send our signs overseas, unfortunately the risk of them being damaged in transit is too great, and the last thing we want is for you to recieve a damaged sign.
Question: How long do the batteries last?
Answer: It depends on which batteries you use, we have tested a set of duracell batteries and left the lights on continually. The lights started to fade after about 48 hours continual use but remaining on for around 160 hours!
Question: What is self assembly?
1 - We send you the letters, all the holes are pre-drilled, we also send you the lights and the velcro for the battery packs.
2- All you need to do is pop the led lights through the holes and velcro the battery pack in place
